We’re Refining Our Indie Author Focus

Since our launch in 2011,  The Bookcast has been focused on readers, with a goal of introducing them to some of the world’s most talented indie authors.

We constantly listen to feedback,  make adjustments, and sometimes we take a different direction.  To that end,  The Bookcast is making an important change.

The Bookcast will no longer feature  non-narrative nonfiction titles.

Our feedback indicates that when readers come to The Bookcast they are seeking out creative narrative writing.   That generally means fiction, or nonfiction that tells a story.  Our visitors generally are  not seeking factual books on, say, health, cooking, investing, or child-rearing.

Starting with our relaunch in fall 2014, only nonfiction books such as history, biography, or memoir — in other words, those books that tell a story — will be featured.

We’re very proud of the high quality of the books we’re helping you discover,  and we think you’ll agree that this change will sharpen our focus and make The Bookcast even more useful and relevant to you.
