Rebecca Burke is the author of three books of Young Adult/crossover fiction, including The Ahimsa Club and What If the Hokey Pokey Really Is What It’s All About? Recently she received First Place for her Latina-themed novel When I Am Singing to You at the 14th Annual International Latino Book Awards in the category “YA fiction ebook (Spanish/English).”

A former university lecturer in creative writing and rhetoric, she has spent the last decade in educational publishing, writing for and editing over two dozen language arts anthologies (multicultural lit, world lit, Shakespeare and other subjects). She has traveled widely and lived in Mexico, Spain, England and the Netherlands.

Two and one-fifth of Rebecca’s books are set in Iowa, where she grew up and now live with her family — a husband, two teenagers, and a neurotic Yorkie named Smokey.
