In Michele Spry‘s children’s book “Tom T’s Hat Rack,” they begin a project during summer break. Mr. T doesn’t tell Shelby what they’re making, instead explaining everything they’re doing along the way.

Then, in an essay on something she did over summer that changed her life for the better, Shelby writes about her project with Mr. T and how they “paid it forward” to benefit others.
