Myra Jolivet is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area with colorful Louisiana Creole roots. She began writing stories as soon as she was able to master the big pencil and wide lines. For more than two decades she has written television news stories, speeches for elected officials and CEOs, articles and news releases for a variety of industries.
In television news Myra worked for several network affiliates including KHOU, the CBS affiliate in Houston, Texas. From the newsroom, Myra went to the mayor's office as spokesperson and media relations strategist for Houston's first woman mayor, Kathy Whitmire. That experience led to communications positions with the 1992 Republican National Convention, two congressional campaigns, Hill and Knowlton public relations agency, Shell Oil, the 26,000-member Houston Association of REALTORS® and the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles.
